You have worked on your manuscript until your eyes hurt, and now you need fresh eyes on it. I’m a proofreader and copyeditor and can make your manuscript shine.
Maybe your manuscript is now in the hands of an editor, and you want to reserve a spot with a proofreader who can catch those pesky remaining errors. Or, perhaps your budget doesn’t allow for a substantive/content editor, but you need someone with experience to carefully check your manuscript before it is published.
Don’t stress over those last details. I can fix them for you while preserving your voice and style.

My Story
My work has always included proofreading. During and after college I was a college secretary, the equivalent of today’s administrative assistant. My work required close attention to detail as I handled applications, registration, transcripts, statistical reports, and graduation details. On the side, I typed research papers. Later, in my many years as a medical editor, every detail had to be right. I closely followed the style guide and caught errors in spelling, punctuation, numbers, spacing, formatting, medications, labs, and patient ID.
When that industry declined, I took proofreading and copyediting courses and started working on book manuscripts and other writing projects. I continue to attend conferences, take classes, and study style guides and grammar books.
Family, gardening, traveling, staying fit, reading, and making music fill my free time. And I’m working on writing a children’s book.
You write the story. I polish the details.
For the past few years I have been a judge for the Editors’ Choice Award.
